Automate & Control
In addition to monitoring and logging data, the ezeio system is also well suitable for control.
The ezeio Controller has two built-in relays that can be used to turn on/off any other device or equipment. The controller can easily be expanded with up to 38 additional relay outputs, and it can also control devices (such as thermostats or VFD’s) through the Modbus port.
There are two different types of control:
The ezeio Controller is an Internet connected device with a custom, secure protocol that allows communication and commands to be both sent and received. There are several ways to send commands to the system – via email, SMS, via the web user interface or through API interfaces. A command can be something simple and direct, like “turn on light” or something that starts a process, sets a timer or adjusts a thermostat setpoint.
Unlike many control systems, the ezeio was designed for Internet communication first, using very secure protocols and key management. The ezeio is not vulnerable to worms and viruses that otherwise plague the controls industry.
The ezeio controller has sophisticated built-in logic. Using the configuration it’s very easy to set up input triggers and schedule controlled outputs. For more advanced logic there is a scripting engine where the more advanced user can set up almost any logic required.
