In its simplest form, a thermostat can be just a temperature sensor and a switch. When the temperature is above or under some given value, the switch closes to turn on a cooling or heating device.
The ezeio Controller can perform this function directly, using temperature probes and relay outputs. The setpoint may be programmed as alarm threshold values, using relay closures as actions. The set points can easily be adjusted via the web UI and provide full control over the function.
If the system controls the temperature in a room, the user may expect to see a wall mounted thermostat that provides some direct control over the setpoint.
The ezeio can be used together with the T32P thermostat. The T32P can work standalone as a typical 7-day programmable thermostat, but it also has a communications port that works directly with the ezeio. This gives the ezeio system full access to the status and configuration of the thermostat, and allows you to access all parameters from the web UI.
In addition to remotely programming the thermostat, additional scheduling features are also possible, such as switching to an alternate schedule on holidays, adding demand control features and monitoring run time.
