Alarms and Alerts
The ezeio controller has a powerful system for alarms and alerts. For example, a temperature sensor input can be set up to send an email or SMS when the temperature is out of range.
Alarms can be set on any input, and there may be multiple alarms on a single input.
Messages can be sent via email, SMS, Voice calls or http(s) calls for integration with other systems. The messages are completely customizable and can be sent to multiple recipients.
Alarms can also be used for simple automation. Instead of sending a message, the alarm action can activate a relay or change a thermostat schedule. The configuration system is very easy to use and understand, and still amazingly powerful.
How it works
Each input on the ezeio controller can be configured with multiple alarm thresholds. When input exceeds the given threshold, the controller can execute a number of actions. An action may be to send an email or SMS, make a voice call or HTTP-request. Multiple actions and destinations are also supported.
The input will not trigger another action until the alarm condition is restored. The restore threshold is also programmable for every alarm.
Actions can also be sent based on conditions, for example based on a schedule. With this feature, you can easily set up a warning message if your door is opened at night, or the power demand goes too high during peak hours.
Messages can be sent to:
Other actions that can be performed:
- Log event
- Set output
- Set/increase/decrease counter
- Control thermostat
- Send Modbus command
Up to four (4) alarm thresholds can be defined for each input. Each alarm can start up to four (4) actions.
